Obituary: Ethel M. (Barry) Caruso

MADISON - Ethel M. Caruso, age 89, passed away at St. Mary's Hospital on Friday, June 29, 2007. She was born on Feb. 21, 1918, the daughter of Thomas and Anna Catherine (Brissee) Barry. Ethel was a graduate from Central High School, and was united in marriage to Sam Caruso in October of 1942. She enjoyed being a homemaker and raising her five children. Ethel also worked for Richardson Bus Service for 25 years. She enjoyed playing bingo and bowling, but her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Ethel is survived by her children; Sam Caruso Jr. of Madison, Patricia (Denis) Dennis of Oregon, Tim (Sandy) Caruso of Fitchburg and Phillip (June) Caruso of Fitchburg; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Sam; son, Michael Caruso; great-grandson, Benjamin Littel; and a brother, Frank Barry. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 3, 2007, at 11 a.m. at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive. Burial will follow at Highland Memory Gardens. Visitation will be on Tuesday, from 9 a.m. until time of services at the funeral home. Special thank you to the staff at Oak Park for their care of Ethel.
