Obituary: Eileen (O'Neill) Henry

MADISON - Eileen B. Henry, age 81, a lifetime resident of Madison, died on Thursday, Dec. 9, 2004. She was born on Dec. 29, 1922, in Madison, to Charles and Catherine (Slaney) O'Neill. Eileen graduated from Madison Central High School. She worked as a central supply technician and supervisor at Madison General Hospital for 14 years. Eileen also worked at Wisconsin Bell and the Dean Clinic. She was a member of St. Bernard Catholic Church and the Altar Society at church. Eileen liked to travel and especially enjoyed her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She is survived by her children, Charlene (Carey) Karabis of Madison, Kathleen C. (Tom) Kelley of Waupun, Mark Henry of Houston, Texas, and Max E. Henry of Madison; four grandchildren, James (Janet) Pliner of Madison, Patricia Kelley of Minneapolis, Minn., Captain John Kelley, U. S. Marine Corps of Yucca Valley, Calif., and Michael (Sarah) Pliner of Minneapolis, Minn.; two great-grandchildren, Andrew Pliner and Katie Eileen Pliner, both of Madison; a sister, Margaret Roisom of Madison; and a very dear friend, Betty Tipler. Eileen was preceded in death by her parents; her former husband, Glenn L. Henry Sr.; a son, Glenn L. Henry Jr.; an infant child; a brother, Arthur; and two sisters, Rose Reis and Mary Jean Madigan. Funeral services will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive, at noon on Monday, Dec. 13, 2004, with Monsignor Michael Hippee presiding. Burial will be at Highland Memory Gardens.
