Obituary: Robert G. "Bob" Nee - Class of 1943

MADISON/ COTTAGE GROVE - Robert G. "Bob" Nee, age 79, died on Wednesday, Aug. 17, 2005. He was born on Sept. 27, 1925, in Richland Center, to George and Dorothy (Postel) Nee. Bob proudly served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and the Korean War. He married Donna Loney in Madison, in 1948. Bob worked for Wisconsin Power and Light Co. for 31 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, his dog, Sam, and especially, riding his Harley. Bob is survived by two sons, Mike (Linda) Nee of Deerfield, and Pat Nee of Blue Mounds; two granddaughters, Keisha and Kalli Nee of Deerfield; and longtime friends and "brother", George (Thelma) Okerstrom of Mountain Home, Ark. He was preceded in death by his wife, Donna, in 1982; his parents; and a grandson, Sam Nee. Funeral services will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive, at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 20, 2005. Burial will be at Highland Memory Gardens. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 19, 2005.
