Obituary" Nola Frances (Gallagher) McGann

SHOREWOOD HILLS - Nola Frances Gallagher McGann died on Sunday, May 29, 2005, in her home of 70 years in Shorewood Hills. She was born on April 9, 1906. Nola was a graduate of Central High School and the University of Wisconsin. She taught high school English and Latin at Walworth High School. Nola married Louis Cook McGann on June 29, 1929, he preceded her in death on Oct. 28, 1977. She was active in the Shorewood Hills Garden, Book and Bridge clubs. Nola was a member of A.A.U.W. Madison, and Naples, Fla. She loved family, friends, gardening and travel. Nola was loved by all who knew her. She is survived by two daughters, Nola Kaye (Duane) Waggoner of Beaumont, Texas, and Frances Lee (Jack) Kelly of Madison; eight grandchildren, Mark (Linda) Waggoner, Wende (Steve) Berryhill, Laurel (Bruce) Talley, Sue (Joe) Gambardella, Scott (Gigi) Kelly, Carrie (Pete) Waite, Tricia (Sather) Ranum and Jerry (Carol) Kelly; 18 great-grandchildren; and her faithful canine companion, Patsy. Family and friends are invited to the burial service in section 17 of FOREST HILL CEMETERY at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, June 1, 2005. A memorial service will follow at CRESS FUNERAL HOME, 6021 University Avenue, Middleton, at 11:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Don and Marilyn Anderson HospiceCare Inc., 5395 E. Cheryl Parkway, Madison, WI, 53711, to the American Cancer Society or to the charity of the donor's choice. We want to sincerely thank the loving hands and hearts that cared for our mom.
