WAUNAKEE/ MADISON - John Ernest Jimieson, age 81, of Waunakee, passed away on Monday, June 4, 2007, at St. Mary's Hospital. He was born on March 25, 1926, in Madison. John played football at Madison Central High School. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II aboard the USS Renville. John married Elaine Knutson in 1947. He worked at Oscar Mayer for more than 45 years. John loved coaching his sons in Little League, golfing and animals. He was a world class euchre and cribbage player. John had thousands of friends. He is survived by a son, Jack (Nina Troia) Jimieson; grandsons, Eric (Kerri) and Jason; and daughter-in-law, Michele Blackman. John was preceded in death by his wife, Elaine; his parents; and son, Rex. Graveside services will be held at HIGHLAND MEMORY GARDENS, 3054 County Trunk BB, Madison, at 10 a.m. on Thursday, June 7, 2007, with military rites conducted.
