Obituary: Jackie L. Matthews - Class of 1968

MADISON - Jackie L. Matthews, age 64, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, May, 21, 2014. Jackie was born in Madison on March 18, 1950, the daughter of Jacqueline (Dolly) L. Matthews and John J. Matthews. Jackie will be remembered for her love of children, flower and vegetable gardening, cooking, photography, and her artistic talents. She had a heart for those who were less fortunate. She is survived by her son, Carl (CJ) R. Matthews-Barr (Emily); and grandson, Owen Robert; her mother, Jacqueline (Dolly) L. (Jim Mayer); her siblings, Cheri, John, Suzanne (Jim), Mark (Terri) and Todd (Jennifer); along with 10 nieces and nephews and five great-nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, John J. Matthews; and companion, Carl A. Barr. A private family service will be held to honor Jackie's life.
