Kathryn (Sarenich) Giese - Class of 1935

MADISON - Kathryn (Sarenich) Geise, 92, passed away peacefully at HospiceCare Center, Fitchburg with loved ones by her side on March 8, 2009. She was born on March 25, 1916 in Madison to Joseph and Mary Sarenich. She graduated from Central High School in 1935. On June 29, 1958 she married Walter Geise. She was a life-long member of St. Patrick's Church. Katie was a kind, sweet woman who was loved by everyone and blessed to know her. She is survived by her beloved sister-in-law, Evelyn Sarenich of Green Bay; seven nieces and nephews, JoAnn Jankowski (Mark) of Abrams, Kathleen Bransted (Steve) of West Bend, James J Sarenich (Bobby Jo) of Pulaski, Patrick P. Sarenich of Wrightstown, Sharon Sarenich of Fond du Lac, Mary Bennett of Albany and James C. Sarenich; and numerous loving friends she also considered family. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Walter; and brothers, Paul, James and Charles. Mass of Christian Burial will be held TODAY, March 10, 2009 at 10:30 a.m. at SAINT PATRICK'S CHURCH, Madison with Monsignor Holmes officiating. Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. up until time of service. Burial will be held in Rose Lawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Dane County Humane Society.
