Obituary: Patricia Ann "Patty" (Adams) Klein - Class of 1953

MADISON - Patricia Ann "Patty" Klein, age 73, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, Feb. 11, 2009, surrounded by family. She was born on Nov. 10, 1935, in Baraboo, to Victoria and Clarence Adams. Patty grew up in the Greenbush neighborhood. She graduated from Madison Central High School in 1953. Patty married Roger Klein on June 25, 1955 and they celebrated 53 years together. They had three children. Patty loved to cook, bake, and shop all day on Saturdays. She also enjoyed garage saling with sister-in-law, Helen. Her homemade apple and pumpkin pies will be missed and according to her grandchildren, the best sugar cookies ever! Patty loved being with family at holiday time or just to sit and visit with family and friends. She is survived by her husband, Roger; three children, Terri Klein, Dan Klein, and Gary (Valerie) Klein, all of Madison; three grandchildren, Ashley, Stephanie and Jesse Klein, all the apple of Grandma's eye; a sister, Betty Retallick of Cassville; and brother, Jim (Toni) Adams of Mount Horeb. Patty was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Dick Adams; and sister, Nancy Ward. Funeral services will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 14, 2009. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will be at Sunset Memory Gardens. The family would like to thank HospiceCare and Dr. David Hei for making Patty more comfortable in the past few weeks. Patty was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend.
