Obituary: Gail A. (Weitzel) Foye

MADISON- Gail A. Foye, age 64, passed away unexpectedly on Oct. 28, 2008, from an apparent heart attack. She was born on Aug. 24, 1944, in Madison, the daughter of Walter and Genevieve (Otis) Weitzel. Gail graduated from Central High School. She was an avid reader. She also enjoyed ceramics, knitting, ships and sailing, and also loved flowers, especially yellow roses. She had a wonderful sense of humor and shared it with her family, friends, and especially her grandchildren. She will be deeply missed for her unselfishness and the love she had for her family. Gail is survived by three sons, Ronald S. (Rebecca) Foye of Sun Prairie, Timothy (Lori) Foye of Pickett and James D. (Tamela) Foye of Madison; her mother, Genevieve Cork of Madison; brothers and sisters, Dale (Bea) Weitzel of California, Darlene Reeson of Mount Horeb, Wayne Weitzel of Madison, Valerie (Larry) McCarthy of Poynette, Donald Jr. (Gerianne) Cork of Cross Plains, Thomas (Chris) Cork of Belleville, Virginia (Michael) Norland of Madison, Lora (Jim) Smith of Madison, Dean Cork of Madison and Terry (Robin) Cork of Madison; grandchildren, Ryan, Cassie, Brooke and Elizabeth Foye, Cierra, Callie, and Tommi Mangan; a sister-in-law, Joan (Dick) Curtan of Madison; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald "Pide" G. Foye Jr.; an infant sister, Lisa Kay; her father; and two brothers-in-law, Ray Reeson and Steve Foye. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, Nov. 1, 2008, at RYAN FUNERAL HOME, 2418 N. Sherman Ave., Madison at 10 a.m., with the Rev. Laurie Veenendaal officiating. Burial will be held at Arena Cemetery, Arena. A visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday, Oct. 31, 2008, from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. and again on Saturday from 9 a.m. until the time of services. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Gail's family for future education of her grandchildren.
