MADISON - Margaret A. "Peggy" Millette, age 70, passed away on Tuesday, Aug. 23, 2011, at home.
She was born on Aug. 8, 1941, in Madison, the daughter of Anthony and Marjorie (Ambrose) Cardarella. Peggy graduated from Central High School in Madison in 1959. She was united in marriage to Kenneth Millette on Sept. 28, 1963, at St. James Catholic Church in Madison.
Peggy was employed by St. Mary's Hospital for 53 years, where she retired from the Pastoral Care department. She loved garage and estate sales, and her flower gardens. Peggy enjoyed sitting on the deck of her home, overlooking the lake, feeding the birds and watching the flowers grow.
She is survived by her husband, Kenneth; children, Susanne (Tom) McCarthy, Bradley Millette and Jennifer (Gary) Nichols; siblings, Anthony (Mary) Cardarella, Frances (Stephen) Stehling, James (Joy) Cardarella, Robert (Jane) Cardarella and John (Jean) Cardarella; and many nieces and nephews. Peggy was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral services will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive, at 3 p.m., on Friday, Aug. 26, 2011. Burial will be at Highland Memory Gardens. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 1 p.m. until the time of the service.
Memorials may be made in Peggy's name to the American Cancer Society. Peggy was tenderhearted and looked after everyone. She was one-of-a-kind and will be missed by all who knew her.
