Obituary: Roberta K. (Chadwick) Fjelstad - Class of 1964

MADISON - Roberta "Bert" K. Fjelstad, loving daughter, mother, grandmother and sister, age 60, of Madison, died unexpectedly on Friday, July 13, 2007, at Meriter Hospital in Madison. She was born on Sept. 1, 1946, in Richland Center, to Lyle and Helen (Duhr) Chadwick. She married Duane G. Fjelstad on July 26, 1969, in Madison. He preceded her in death on June 28, 1995. Survivors include her mother, Helen Chadwick of Monona; her children, Edward Lamers of Appleton, Michael (Carla) Fjelstad of Stoughton, Tonya (Joe Lentz) Shabani of Madison and Duanna Fjelstad and Jennifer Fjelstad, both of Marshall; nine grandchildren; two sisters, Lyla (Bill) New of Idaho and Lisa (Robert) Schoeneide of Beaver Dam; three brothers, her twin brother, Robert Chadwick of Sun Prairie, Richard (June) Chadwick of DeForest and Jeff Chadwick of Green Bay; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. In addition to her father, Lyle and her husband, Duane, she was preceded in death by her grandson, Jonathan; her twin daughter, Michelle; and her twin son, Matthew. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, July 16, 2007, at ELLESTAD FUNERAL HOME, 500 N. Eighth St., Mount Horeb, with the Rev. Jeffrey Jacobs officiating. Burial will be at Perry Lutheran Church Cemetery in Daleyville. Friends may call from 9:30 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. on Monday prior to the service at ELLESTAD FUNERAL HOME in Mount Horeb. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred.
