Obituary: Sally (Kinsella) Seils - Class of 1947

MADISON - Sally Seils left this world on Wednesday, July 21, 2004, surrounded by her family and her Irish music. She was born in Madison to Agnes and Joseph Kinsella on Nov. 12, 1929. She graduated from Central High School in 1947, and married Burton Seils in 1951. She went on to receive her medical assistant's degree and worked for Dr. Wheeler until the birth of her children. She cherished her time with her family and friends, and her annual trips to Texas and Florida to see family. She was not able to go to Ireland, but the love of Irish humor, music and stories were so much a part of her, and she shared these gifts with all who were privileged to know "Our Gal Sal." She was one of a kind, and we are all better for being a part of her life. She is survived by her three children, Lisa Holpin, Andrew (Krista) Seils and Daniel Seils; her sister, Mary (Edward) Hommel; nieces, Kathleen (Robert) Schnee, Stacy (Scott) Criley and Karrie Benjamin; nephews, Jeffrey (Shelly) Hommel and Kevin (Linda) Kinsella; and her beloved eight grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Agnes and Joseph; her brothers, Paul J. Kinsella and Robert Kinsella; grandmother, "Dede;" and Grandpa Val. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at ST. ANDREW'S CATHOLIC CHURCH, 301 N. Main St., Verona, at 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 24, 2004. Burial will be held at Resurrection Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. at RYAN FUNERAL HOME, 2418 N. Sherman Ave., on Friday, July 23, 2004, and after 10 a.m. until the service time at the church on Saturday. Memorials may be made to the family at 1625 N. Golf Glen, Unit E, Madison WI 53704. Our thanks and appreciation to all the "angels" from Eldercare and Hospice, and especially to Sister Georgeann who gave us all such comfort.
