MADISON [Wisconsin] - Lucille Helen Roh, age 91, died on Wednesday, April 4, 2001, at Karmenta Health Care Center. She was born June 3, 1909, in LaValle. Lucille came to Madison in 1928 and graduated from Central High School in 1929. She attended UW-Madison one semester and while doing waitress work, met and married Lawrence Larry Roh in 1930. Lucille retired from the Wisconsin Telephone Company in 1974. She had been a charter member of the Apostolic Gospel Church, since 1942. Lucille is survived by her son, James (Rose) Roh of Madison; six grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; two brothers, Faye (Lorene) Gardner of Reedsburg and Robert (Edna) Gardner of Dixon, Tennessee; two sisters, Joyce Haas of Elk Grove, California and Eleanor Ingles of LaCrosse. She was preceded in death by her husband, Larry; her parents, Arthur and Ruby Gardner; two sons, Robert and John Roh; brothers, Lyle, Raymond and Norman Gardner; a sister, Olive Banbury; and a grandson, Vaughn Roh. A memorial service will be held at CALVARY GOSPEL CHURCH, 5301 Commercial Avenue, Madison, at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 7, 2001 with Reverend John Grant presiding. Private burial will be held at Roselawn Memorial Park at a later date. Friends may call at the church from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the service on Saturday.
